Book Review: The Bad Guys #1 – The Bad Guys byAaron Blabey

8/10

Mr. Wolf, of Big Bad Wolf infamy, is sick of being the bad guy. So he’s gathered together three other bad guys, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, and Mr. Shark to try and convince them to join the Good Guys Club. But things just don’t go smoothly for the four characters. From trying to rescue a cat stuck in a tree to helping to break out 200 dogs who are trapped in the dog pound, follow these four unique not-quite-friends as they try to become true Good Guys.

This book made me laugh so hard so many times. I’d heard good things about the series, and if the first book is anything to go off of, this series is worth it. Told in a comic book style, this book is easy to read, and it is so hysterical that you might start crying. The characters are all individual and their dynamic is so relatable. They’re not friends but they go along with it. There is so much potential for friendship… if they can stop threatening to eat each other. If you want to laugh with an easy read and delightful characters, this is the book you should pick up.
